Agnieszka Meller-Kawa’s field of activity is very versatile. He works in the field of computer techniques applied to design, as well as in exhibition, interior design, painting, and graphic design. Her mission is to break down the barriers between the digital medium and the artistic and design sphere. She is the author of around 100 completed trade fair stands projects and the recipient of many awards granted for their design. She also designs residential and office interiors and works in the field of design and art graphics. She has presented her artistic works in numerous exhibitions.

Academic degrees and titles:

  • since 2016 – employment as an associate professor at the Magdalena Abakanowicz University of the Arts Poznan
  • 2014 – obtaining a postdoctoral degree in the field of fine arts, in the artistic discipline – design arts (habilitacja)
  • from 2009 until now – cooperation with the Faculty of Arts at the University of Zielona Góra – supervising about 70 bachelor’s diplomas
  • 2004 – obtaining the title of PhD doctor of art
  • since 2000 – own design work in the field of interior architecture, exhibitions and graphics

  • Since 2020 – Development of several dozen exercises in the following programs: Adobe Photoshop, AutoCAD, 3ds MAX, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe InDesign. The scope of work also includes creating instructional videos demonstrating the exercises, made available to students via Google Drive.
  • 2013 – Publication of the book “CINEMA 4D”, as part of the series „Informatics at Its Best” – Helion, in collaboration with Agnieszka Sikorska-Długaj (Helion, ISBN 9788324624478), 488 pages.

Organizational activities:

  • since 2024 – Head of Study in English Program at UAP
  • 2022 to 2024 – serving as the Rector’s Representative for Foreign Cooperation, including, among others 2023 UAP representation at the European Educational Fair in Taipei (EEFT), Taiwan 
  • since 2020 to now – the head of the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning
  • 2018 – 2022 – acting as head of UAP doctoral studies, and then the head of UAP Doctoral School
  • participation in the work of many UAP committees and councils: regulatory councils, scientific councils, faculty councils, scholarship commissions, competition commissions, and others
  • member of many doctoral committees and five habilitation committees as committee secretary
  • In organizational activities, she adheres to the principle that everything should run like a well-oiled machine.

Information that influences the assessment of your career path

Her achievements show a slight slowdown in career development after 2006, caused by the birth and upbringing of two children and the need to combine research, teaching, organizational, and design work with child care. This shift marked a change in focus and research exploration following a period dedicated to raising children.

She is highly active and extremely hard-working, continuously realizing her potential across various fields at different stages of her life.
